According to the book ‘Kabya O Sur’ written by the legendary singer Kanika Bandyopadhyay the manuscript of this song carries a signature of Rabindranath which was ‘Dedicated to the marriage of Smt Renu with Sri Probhatchandra Gupta’. This information finds support in ‘Rabindra-jiboni’by Probhatkumar Mukhopadhyay. However, Shantidev Ghosh has another story in ‘Rabindra-sangeet’ –
