He has been disciple of famous musical personalities of the country like Sudhin Das, Motalib Biswas, Ustad Fazlul Hoque, Tapan Boidya, Gopal Roy and dedicates himself in the world of music.

He has been disciple of famous musical personalities of the country like Sudhin Das, Motalib Biswas, Ustad Fazlul Hoque, Tapan Boidya, Gopal Roy and dedicates himself in the world of music. He is also closely associated with the contemporary bright personality of music, more precisely "Rabindra Sangeet", Mr. Sadi Mohammad. In a wider field Golam Haider simultaneously engrossed in music of "Pancha Kabi" (five poets) along side of Rabindra Sangeet.

Born in a very prominent family at Bakhtapur village of Fatickchari upazila of Chittagong, Golam Haider's early life started in an open and free environment of rural Bangladesh. Although his father Abul Kashem Chowdhury was a renowned land lord, in his childhood their family financial condition had not been very well off. His mother Hasina Begum is also from a very prominent family of Raozan upazila of Chittagong. To provide a better life & education his mother sent him to his maternal's house at Raozan. It can be mentioned that at that time Roazan had a very rich arena of cultural activities, where Golam Haider inspired to participate in acting in dramas and later in music, though initially it was not classical.

Later in early 80's, when he came to Dhaka for his living and higher education, Golam Haider started classical music and chose "Rabindra Sangeet" as his field of interest. He completed "Certificate Course" from "Bulbul Academy of Fine Arts". He has been disciple of famous musical personalities of the country like Sudhin Das, Motalib Biswas, Ustad Fazlul Hoque, Tapan Boidya, Gopal Roy and dedicates himself in the world of music. He is also closely associated with the contemporary bright personality of music, more precisely "Rabindra Sangeet", Mr. Sadi Mohammad. In a wider field Golam Haider simultaneously engrossed in music of "Pancha Kabi" (five poets) along side of Rabindra Sangeet.

Mr. Golam Haider is enlisted as a regular singer in Radio Bangladesh and Bangladesh Television since 1996.

Besides his existence as an artist Mr. Golam Haider, in his professional life, is a successful businessman. He is the CEO of renowned Audio Cassette & CD producing house "Commitment Products", which is an obvious destination for reciters; and 'Creative Printing & Design". He also established another business organisation "United Business Machines" and he is the CEO of this organization. He has patronized numerous established & new comer musical artists to introduce them before the audience and his identity of a promoter dominates over all his other identities. He is very popular to child artists too.

Mr. Golam Haider is associated with many music oriented organizations like Robiraag, Mridango among others. He is the publication Secretary of "Bangladesh Rabindra Sangeet Shilpi Sangstha" and Vice Principal of "Bulbul Laliit Kala Academy", Motijheel Centre.

Mr. Golam Haider and his better half Mrs. Sarwar Jahan Popy, an obvious name comes before anything for supporting all his achievements from behind, have two chidren Samia Haider & Rifat Haider.

Motto of Golam Haider's musical life is to keep up practising pure and original Rabidra Sangeet.
