Performed in AIR, Silchar, AIR,Kolkata. Also performed in programmes of Doordarshan, Silchar, Kolkat, Agartala and DD-Northeast.
Regularly taking part in the morning interview based musical programme 'Aj Sokaler Amontrone' and in other music programmes of Tara Muzik for last 4 years. Also, features regularly in the music and talk shows of other television channels.
Interviewed and performed more than once in the Bengali programme of BBC. Also featured in the programmes of other satellite and FM radio.
Featured in many radio plays in AIR, Kolkata of which 'Raktokorobi' of Tagore (as Bishu pagol) won acclaim in international contest of radio plays.
Has been performing extensively in stage performances throughout the country, especially in Bangladesh, North-Eastern states of India and in most of the districts of West Bengal including Kolkata. There were exclusive solo evenings at Kalamandir, Kolkata, Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhaban, Agartala, District Library auditorium, Silchar, Bangiya Sahitya Parishad, Shillong, Prantik auditorium, Sylhet, Bangladesh and other places. On invitation toured Bangladesh sixteen times to perform in different cities including Dhaka. Was invited to Dhaka on 21st February when the mentioned date was declared as International day of mother tongue.
Was also invited to perform before global audience (especially to audience from US, UK, Russia, Italy, India and Bangladesh amongst others) through internet on at least four times on solo music programmes.
Till date three audio albums were published, one of Tagore songs 'Jete Jete Ekla Pothe', published by Soundwing, Kolkata in 1990 and 'Swadhinota, tomar jonye', album of folk and mass songs, published by Prabaha, Kolkata in 1997 and the third one on Tagore songs, 'Kather Nouka' by himself in 2007.
Other Cultural & Literary Activities:
Involved in translation of literary works. An anthology of translation of short stories of young adults by Samaresh Basu, Rajdhani Express Mystery has been published by Ponytale Books, New Delhi which earned acclaims globally.
Recently a collection of translation of Bengali short stories from Barak Valley, Assam on displacement, Barbed Wire has been published in World Book Fair, New Delhi by Neogy Books which includes two of my translated works.
On more than one occasion, translated Bengali short stories and poems were published in Indian Literature, the journal of Sahitya Academy.
On being invited, presented seminar papers and talks in seminars and symposiums organised by reputed Universities, institutions and organisations including Dhaka University, Asiatic Society, Kolkata, the University of Burdwan, Bangiya Sahitya Sanskriti Samaj, Guwahati and host of other organisations and institutions.
Directed, written scripts, and composed music for documentaries, ballets, music features for Doordarshan. Composed music for two video films. Also composed signature tune of the opening montage of daily programmes of Doordarshan Kendra, Silchar. Was also involved with a number of theatre groups as the music director of theatre productions.
