Rabindranath would to visit there in the afternoon. … There was only one large two storied building in Surul, people had taken a bit of rest on its verandah. Then … the poet read out a couple of poems followed by songs. Pundit Bhim Rao Shashtri presented a few songs. Then songs of spring started flowing from ‘Phalguni’. … Probably the song ‘Aaji Bijon Ghore …’ had been written by he poet on that very day. He had presented this song to mark the end of the occasion. …
