Notes: This song was written on 11th October 1909 at Silaidaha.
Rabindranath had taken his son Rathindranath along with him to Silaidaha on 10th October 1909 to look after duties related to ancestral estate. On the next day he had written this beautiful song and mailed it to Kshitimohan Sen. In a letter that accompanied the song he wrote -
... I didn't know where I was going to when I had left Bolpur. Sharada-lakshmi (the goddess of spring), nevertheless, did not deceive me - without my consent she has sent me to the solitude of the river-bank.
