Raag: Iman-kalyan
Taal: Tritaal
Notes: This verse from the Rik-veda was musically presented, particularly for the purpose of service and prayers in Brahmo temples, by Rabindranath Tagore. It was published in 'Ananda-sangeet' and in 'Bharati O Balak' in the year 1929 and 1906 respectively. He had translated the verse into Bengali in his own style. It is a well-known song - 'Jodi Jhorer Megher Mato ...'. Pratibha Debi had prepared notation for the song.
Translation in Bengali:
হে আয়ুধবান বরুণ, আমি তোমার কাছে বায়ুপূরিত চর্মপাত্রের ন্যায় কম্পিত হইতে হইতে আসিতেছি । হে শক্তিমান, আমার প্রতি সদয় হও, আমাকে ক্ষমা করো । [১] হে ঐশ্বর্যশালী, হে পবিত্র, আমি যাহা কর্ত্যব্য তাহার বিপরীত পথে গিয়াছি । হে শক্তিমান, আমার প্রতি সদয় হও, আমাকে ক্ষমা করো । [২] জলরাশির মধ্যে বাস করিয়াও তোমার উপাসক তৃষ্ণায় কাতর । হে শক্তিমান, আমার প্রতি সদয় হও, আমাকে ক্ষমা করো । [৩]
