It was placed for Nabin's voice in the second scene of the drama named Nalini. Although, its first appearance was in a prose composition with a heading Pushpanjali written right after the death of Kadambari Devi. The paragraph preceding it reads -
... Do you still remember the Rajanigandha that once you had planted right in front of the door of the room you used to relax each morning! It had rarely bloomed in your presence, look how it bears volume of flowers each morning and keep staring at the vacuum of your room. The poor plant seems thinking perhaps your dejection is the reason for your parting with it. Now it is blooming in excess hence. Saying - Come O' dear, I'll give you more everyday. One could not experience what was desired, now when she is gone with a heavy heart, forever, is there any use of calling her back! With the best of love from its core it adorns the offering tray, calling her. I keep on bearing flowers each day those facing the exit of your empty room - who would admire. Under whose generous feet shall they drop off! Anyone can pluck them, string them in garlands or may destroy them. But not even for a moment your affectionate eyes, ever shall fall on them. ...
