Spending two months Rabindranath has returned from Patisar estate to Jorasanko. It was mid of March. Jyotirindranath had left Jorasanko and was living with Jyanadanandini at Park Street. Rabindranath occupied the vacant room of Kadambari Devi. His emotions ran high which produced a number of beautiful poems. These poems were include in Chitra. It had reached its cliff on tenth death anniversary of Kadambari Devi and he had penned this exceptional poem on this day to be composed in accordance with the style of Kirtan.
According to Sri Subhas Chowdhury it appears that the tune of the last stanza was composed by Indira Debi Chowdhurani
