This song was harmonized by Senor Manzato, an Italian musician and a notation of the same prepared by Jyotirindranath was published in the Aasharh edition of Saadhana. A new word was coined for the purpose 'Mishra-mil'.

Senor Manzato was introduced by Abanindranath. In his writing Jorasankor dhaarete he says -

... There stood a Madrassa college near the Wellesley park at Calcutta, next to it was a water reservoir. Mr Gillardy, an Italian artist lived in a house opposite to it. I used to go every morning and he taught me pastel-drawing and oil-painting in exchange of payment. ... An old Italian musician Mandhata with his daughter occupied the ground floor. The duo lived happily. Each morning the young lady played piano and her father fiddled on the violin...

It appears that the Italian old man 'Mandhata' was, in fact, Manzato, the man behind harmonizing this song.
