Shailaja-ranjan Majumdar, in his book 'Jaatrapother Aanondogaan has written –
... We had started performing Barsha-mangal [1936] on the portico of the library with all new songs. But Gurudev had to leave the scene midway due to his ill health. We too had to stop the performance.
A few days later Gurudev had been asking for another Barsha-mangal as the first one could not be finished. ... He had named it 'Baasi Barsha-mangal',[meaning deferred Barsha-mangal].
... I went to see Gurudev in the morning with the program schedule when he asked me – 'If I give you yet another new song right now, can you manage that with your students in the evening? This would make it sixteen songs in number and as per your demand – it would complete 'Sholo-kola'.
I agreed to him at once. The new song was – 'Jobe rimiki jhimiki jhore ...'. He asked me to visit the Shantiniketan press after imparting me the song. 'Geetabitan' was in the process of printing, where it was placed in the postscript. ...

Bodhu daya karo, aalokhani dharo hridaye. Aadho jaagarito tandrar ghore aankhi jale jaay je bhore.
