He started his basic training in music from his mother Smt Banhishikha Dasgupta in the year 1995 when he was at 4 years old. He has received his formal training from Smt Sushree Dutta (Dey) from 1999 in Kheyal, Rabindra Sangeet, Nazrulgeeti, Bengali Adhunik and some other Puratani Bengali songs. He has been under tutilage of Smt Apala Basu (Sen), renowned Rabindra Sangeet singer and teacher, from 2006

Achievements:

First prize from Children's Competition from Sri Aurobinda Bhavan(2006).

Jugal Shrimal Scholarship from Nehru Children's Museum (2006 and 2007).

First prize from Geetabitan Praktani(2007), Second in 2008 and Third in 2009.

First prize from Inter-Collegiate Oriental Music Competition from Calcutta University Institute (2008).

Prize for the top 5 best Rabindra Sangeet singers in Cultural Competition from Gorky Sadan(2010).

First Prize in Rabindrasangeet Competition 'Anandadhara Bahichhey Bhubone'(Age limit-16-21) from Nehru Children's Museum (2011).

Stood Third in the Audition for Kabipranam organised by Bidhannagar Sanskriti Angan in the year (2011) and a lifetime performer in the Kabipranam occasion there.

Achieved National Scholarship from Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India in the year (2011).

One of the best selected singers in Cultural Competition from Sanskritiki (South Kolkata) in the year 2013.

First Prize from Tridhara Talent Hunt in the year 2014.
