Read musical profile [ show/hide ]পরিবারের সংগীত ও সংস্কৃতি প্রথম থেকেই চিন্তা-ভাবনার দিশা নির্ধারণ করে দিয়েছিল। পিতা স্বর্গীয় শ্রী সন্তোষ ঠাকুর ও স্বর্গীয় শ্রী সুবিনয় রায় 'গান্ধর্বী' নামের এক সংগীত, নৃত্য ও শিল্প কলাকেন্দ্রের প্রতিষ্ঠা করেন। সে সুবাদে বহু বিশিষ্ট ব্যক্তিত্বের সংস্পর্ষে আসার বিরল অভিজ্ঞতা। শান্তিদেব ঘোষ, কণিকা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়, সুচিত্রা মিত্র, মায়া সেন, সুমিত্রা সেন, বাণী ঠাকুর এর মধ্যে অন্যতম। সন্তোষ ঠাকুর তালিম নেন সুবিনয় রায় ও তারাপদ চক্রবর্তীর কাছে। ভাস্কর ঠাকুর প্রথম জীবনে পিতা সন্তোষ ঠাকুর ও পরে শ্রীমতী কৃষ্ণা গুহঠাকুরতার কাছে সংগীত শিক্ষা গ্রহণ করেন। আকাশবাণী ও দূরদর্শণে পিতার সঙ্গে অনুষ্ঠান এবং ইদানিং কালের মধ্যে আকাশ বাংলা, NE Baqngla, METRO RAILWAY INCODA TV ইত্যাদিতে অনুষ্ঠান উল্লেখযোগ্য। এছাড়াও দেশে-বিদেশে বহু সঙ্গীতানুষ্ঠান করেছেন ও সম্মান লাভ করেছেন। ২০০৭-এ একটি Music Album প্রকাশ হয়।
