He is a church organ player by profession. He had obtained Academy of Music diploma and University diploma. Born on April the 6th 1968 in Woronezh, Russia but lives in Chisinau, the capital of Republic of Moldova (formely part of the Soviet Union). He had never been to India and came across Rabindra Sangeet through the internet only about two months ago. Before that he had been acquainted only with the literary works of Rabindranath (in Russian and German translations of course). He can read Bengali script because of its similarity with Devanagari, which he knows well as a person interested in the Vedic scriptures. He loves devotional songs. The remarkable thing about Rabindra Sangeet, according to him, is its universal appeal. He enjoys singing Bengali songs as the language sounds pleasant and “sweet” to his ear.
