about sanjoy gangopadhyay: Shri Subinoy Roy was first to teach him Rabinda Sangeet. He had qualified to become a disciple of Shri Shailaja Ranjan Majumdar after long twelve years of training. Achieved a Diploma later from 'Surangama' where he had obtained training from teachers like Shri Prafulla Kumar Das, Smt. Urmila Ghaosh, Shri Shrikanta Roy Chowdhury, and Debojyoti Dutta Majumdar (Manik-da). He learned to play Esraj as directed by Acharya. His one of the teachers was Shri Bibhu Prasanna Singha of Bishnupur Gharana. More about this singer with songs.
