He has been formally trained in Hindustani Vocal Classical from Gandharva Maha Vishvidyalaya. His teachers were Shri Muktikanta Mohanty and Smt Charulata Mishra. He is inclined towards Rabindra Sangeet since his childhood and his endeavor is to sing Rabindra Sangeet following the swara-lipi and feelings. He is always open to critics and willing to improve his performance of his song both syntactically and semantically. He is a Computer Scientist and Author by profession. And his profession complements with Rabindra Sangeet, which is not only an Art but also a Science in itself.
