Read musical profile [ show/hide ]Santanu Dey is an Advocate by profession but his first love is music. Santanu was growing up in a cultural family. His father and mother were also a good singer and were the students of "Santi Gopal Roy (Mongla)" of Balurghat, West Dinajpur.
Santanu was firstly guided by Sj. Khagendra Nath Roy of Gangarampur in classical music and also guided by Sj. Sushil Basak of Gangarampur in Tabla playing. Since the year 1995 to till date Santanu has been guided by Shri. Pranab Kr. Mukhopadhyay of Balurghat, Dakshin Dinajpurin respect of Rabindra Sangeet and Bangla Adhunik Gaan.
Santanu has performed in "Bangla Sangeet Mela", "Progati Utsab", "Kobi Pronam" and "Kobi Paksha" at Kolkata. "Khusir Tufan" is the first "Rabindra Sangeet album" of Santanu which has released in December 2013.
