Started taking preliminary lessons in music from age 4 under guidance of mother.

Started taking formal trainings in Rabindra Sangeet, Nazrulgeeti and Hindusthani classical music under Sri Jogendra Das from age 7.

Took part in various musical programmes and competitions in and around Sylhet including Dhaka from 1980 to 1993, and won many prizes.

Got enlisted with Sylhet Radio as a vocal artist of Nazrulgeeti in 1984, and regularly took part in solo radio programmes on Nazrulgeeti till 1992.

Performed in various cities viz. Frankfurt, Hamburg, Bonn, Cologne, Berlin, Munster, Essen, Dortmund, Munich, etc., in Germany as well as in other European countries including Holland and Belgium, since shifting to Germany in 1994.

Performed in New York in the U.S.A, in Montreal and Toronto in Canada, and also in Kolkata, India.

"Jetha Gaan Theme Jay", a solo album on Nazrulgeeti, was released by Multi Linkage Production in Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2007.

Taught Nazrulgeeti and Rabindrasangeet in Binodan Bangla, a school for the Bengali language and culture in Frankfurt, from 2010 to 2011.

At present taking periodic lessons in Hindusthani classical music from Sri Abhijit Biswas, an exponent from India, as well as regular lessons in European classical music from the American-German opera vocalist Fr. Sandra Toner-Uhl.

A good player of the harmonium, the synthesizer and the tabla. Learned to play the tabla from father at an early age. Stood first in an inter-district tabla playing competition in Bangladesh.

A solo album on Rabindrasangeet, "Toma Lagi Ankhi Jage", was released from Kolkata in 2014.
