about saumik niranjan saha: He began his professional training with Hindustani classical music at the age of 6 years under Smt. Sarayu Barve and later under Late Pandit Pimpalkhare. He completed Sangeet Visharad (B.Ed in Music) with distinction at the age of 18. He also stood FIRST in Geetabitan's Rabindra Sangeet 5-year degree exam 'Geetabharati' securing a record high percentage in 2001. He has been a graded performer on All India Radio (Pune Akashwani) since the early age of 10 years. He has more than 300 public performances to his credit across the globe, including shows in Los Angeles, USA. While he calls himself a global musician, when it comes to Bengali music, he is a devotee of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore and wishes his music reaches every single heart in the world.
