An entry on his cash register on the very day this song was written attracts attention.
It was in favour of 'e City of Glasgow Life Insurance Company' where a policy of Rs.40,000/- has been purchased in the name of Rathindranath to be continued for 15 years at a quarterly premium of Rs.650/-. This information points out to a definite state of mind of the poet. His mind appears to be sensitive for having lost quite a few people within his close relations including his wife, son and daughters and at the back of his mind was the safety of his eldest son who was on the verge of entering into family-life after having recently returned from USA. This analysis had been put forward by Prashanta Kumar Pal and according to him the mystic philosophy in the Brahma-sangeet bears a certain personal relation with the poet.
