She was a student at Santiniketan - Viswa Bharati. Compleded Master Degree in Rabindra Sangeet from Rabindra Bharati University. Completed diploma in Rabindra Sangeet from Shahana (Mumbai).

She started her musical training at a very early stage in Santiniketan. Her first teacher was Shri Bijay Kumar Singha. After that her first Guru was Shri Durgadas Majumder. When she was in STD IX, Smt Chitra Munshi trained her in Rabindra Sangeet as it was one of her main subject. When she was in STD XII, she received training from Shri Chandan Munshi. In diploma examination her trainer was Smt Indrani Acharya, certified by Smt Suchitra Mitra.

Diploma in Rabindra Sangeet from Shahana (Mumbai) affiliated school of Rabitirtha (Kolkata).
